Since 1991 the European Congress of Radiology has been the driving force behind the development of a community of dedicated professionals in the field of medical imaging and image-guided therapy that has grown to become the largest radiological society in the world.

ECR 2019 will be the 25th held in Vienna, the right moment to rethink about what we, as radiologists, radiographers, medical physicists and allied scientists, have achieved over the years following the sea of opportunities created by our many congresses over time.

Come and be part of ‘the bigger picture’ by celebrating the 25th anniversary of ECR in Vienna, learning new things, presenting the results of scientific projects, discussing, liaising, collaborating and creating friendships with colleagues from all over the world!

From a long history of dedication, innovation and attention to patients’ care, we can build up our future and ready ourselves to meet the emerging clinical, technological and social challenges of our discipline.

The ISMRM Benelux association represents the ISMRM in the Benelux and acts upon the goals of the ISMRM. More specifically, the goals of the society are as follows:

  • The stimulation of communication, research, development and application of magnetic resonance for medical and biological applications and to provide information on these and related topics.
  • Promoting education and study programs in the field of medical and biological applications of magnetic resonance.
  • Improving employment and working conditions in the field of medical and biological applications of magnetic resonance.
  • Providing information and advice on the field of magnetic resonance in medical and biological applications to people working in the public domain.
  • Cooperation with local, regional and national authorities as well as public or private organisations to achieve the above-mentioned aims.

The society attempts to reach these goals by means of:

  • Contact and cooperation with the ISMRM.
  • Organising regular scientific meetings with the emphasis on education and scientific discussions in order to stimulate scientific progress and continued research in the field of magnetic resonance in medicine and biology. The official language of these meetings will be English.

The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA®) is an international society of radiologists, medical physicists and other medical professionals with more than 54,000 members from 136 countries across the globe. RSNA hosts the world’s premier radiology forum, drawing approximately 55,000 attendees annually to McCormick Place in Chicago, and publishes two top peer-reviewed journals: Radiology, the highest-impact scientific journal in the field, and RadioGraphics, the only journal dedicated to continuing education in radiology.

Through its educational resources, RSNA provides hundreds of thousands of continuing education credits toward physicians' maintenance of certification—more than one million CME certificates have been awarded since 2000. The Society also develops and offers informatics-based software solutions in support of a universal electronic health record, sponsors research to advance quantitative imaging biomarkers, and conducts outreach to enhance education in developing nations. Through its Research & Education (R&E) Foundation, RSNA provides millions of dollars in funding to young investigators, helping to build the future of the profession.

Gold Standard Phantoms are pleased to be exhibiting at the RSNA 2018 and will be found at Booth #1031. Any requests for appointments with our Sales and Marketing Director are welcomed; please contact us at info@goldstandardphantoms.com for enquiries, or just drop by the stand - we would be delighted to meet you and discuss GSP's contribution to the field of MRI.

Gold Standard Phantoms are pleased to announce that our ongoing efforts to bring ASL quantitative measuring to the forefront of the MRI industry has been remarked upon in EIBIR’s latest strategic research agenda for biomedical imaging. (Link to Website)

In addition, our very own Xavier Golay is a contributing author, which highlights a landmark time for Gold Standard Phantoms’ position in the field of MRI.

The European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR) is a non-profit limited liability company that was founded in 2006 by the European Society of Radiology (ESR), dedicated to the coordination and development of biomedical imaging research in Europe.

EIBIR aims to coordinate and support the development of biomedical imaging technologies and we are happy to collaborate with them for the dissemination of knowledge with the ultimate goal of improving the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.

The platform supports research networking activities and plays a key role in spreading good practice, promoting common initiatives and interoperability in the field of biomedical imaging research.

At Gold Standard Phantoms we are striving to introduce new developments and innovations in MRI to promote the clinical availability of quantitative imaging through the use non-invasive biomarkers to better monitor disease characteristics as well as help with early detection of disease to facilitate preventative measures, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes.
