The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA®) is an international society of radiologists, medical physicists and other medical professionals with more than 54,000 members from 136 countries across the globe. RSNA hosts the world’s premier radiology forum, drawing approximately 55,000 attendees annually to McCormick Place in Chicago, and publishes two top peer-reviewed journals: Radiology, the highest-impact scientific journal in the field, and RadioGraphics, the only journal dedicated to continuing education in radiology.

Through its educational resources, RSNA provides hundreds of thousands of continuing education credits toward physicians' maintenance of certification—more than one million CME certificates have been awarded since 2000. The Society also develops and offers informatics-based software solutions in support of a universal electronic health record, sponsors research to advance quantitative imaging biomarkers, and conducts outreach to enhance education in developing nations. The business meeting (General Assembly) of the Society is held in conjunction with this annual scientific congress. Since its creation in 1969, the ESNR has organised 35 scientific congresses. In recognition of the importance of the Symposium Neuroradiologicum, which is held every four years, no scientific congress of the ESNR is organised in the year of the Symposium.

The Japanese Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (JSMRM) was established in 1986, having succeeded the Society of NMR Medicine established in 1981. The Society consists of more than 3300 members majoring in a wide range of academic fields including clinical medicine, basic medicine, biology, chemistry, physics, technology and engineering, and is now in the transition to a non-profitable corporation.

JSMRM, known as the “MRM Society in Japan,” is a unique society. All professions who are involved in MRM, including radiologists and other physicians, basic medical scientists, radiological technologists, MR equipment developers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers, will be attending this meeting. The membership numbers have come close to 4,000. Medical applications of magnetic resonance have rapidly and effectively increased—approximately ten million MR examinations are annually performed in Japan.

The theme of the meeting is “MRM Trek: Join Together Toward New Frontiers.” We intend to explore new research fields in MRM and to promote translational medicine. This meeting is an international meeting and a leading event in MRM. Much of the presentation format will be in English; hence, we have included abstracts from abroad. We will have international symposiums and special lectures in English. We also hold the annual exchange event “Joint Symposium with Asian Countries,” which includes KSMRM (Korea) and CSMRM (China).

Topics such as image diagnosis, imaging and analytical methods, angiography, spectroscopy, molecular imaging, safety, and QA & QC in the MRM field will be presented. In this meeting, we expect approximately 2,000 participants. Do not miss this opportunity to present your paper as well as to communicate with colleagues in Japan and participants from other nations.

Gold Standard Phantoms are pleased to be exhibiting at JSMRM 2018 and will be found at Booth 21. Any requests for appointments with our Sales and Marketing Director are welcomed; please contact us at info@goldstandardphantoms.com for enquiries, or just drop by the stand - we would be delighted to meet you and discuss GSP's contribution to the field of MRI.
